About

Our Story

Afro Sudbury began with a simple frustration: the Afro-Caribbean community in Greater Sudbury is full of talented entrepreneurs, skilled professionals, and people building something of their own — but finding them meant scrolling through scattered social media posts, relying on word of mouth, or simply not knowing they existed at all.

We built this directory to change that. Afro Sudbury is one trusted place to discover the businesses, services, and community projects created by people of African and Caribbean descent right here in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

Why It Matters

When a community can find and support its own, everyone grows stronger. Every listing here represents someone's hard work, their livelihood, and often their dream. By making these businesses visible, we hope to keep more support circulating within our community, help newcomers find familiar faces and services, and show the richness of what we're building together in Northern Ontario.

Our Commitment

Being listed on Afro Sudbury is, and always will be, free. We believe no one should have to pay simply to be found by their own community. Trust is at the heart of everything we do — we moderate listings carefully, respect your privacy, and put the community first in every decision we make.
